The team photos are a standout feature. Instead of stiff, corporate headshots, we see casual, candid images that showcase the human side of the company. It’s a subtle touch, but it goes a long way in making the brand feel approachable and relatable.

Userflow doesn’t bury their mission statement in paragraphs of text. Instead, they present it front and center, in large, bold font. This design choice immediately communicates what the company is about and why it exists.

Their company values are presented in a similar clear, concise manner. Each value is accompanied by a brief explanation, helping users understand not just what the company values, but why they value it. This approach adds depth to their brand identity and helps users align with their mission.

There are countless great About Us page examples across various industries, but I have found that they all share some key elements: a compelling story, a clear mission, and an engaging layout. One of my favorite About Us page design examples is from Tushy, where they tell the story of how their product was created for sustainability. They use a sense of humor to discuss what might appear to be an awkward topic. This helps make visitors feel comfortable so that they understand the company on a deeper level.

These strategies keep visitors engaged and provide them with more opportunities to connect with your brand on a personal level.

An effective About Us page layout is one that enhances user experience by making the page visually engaging, easy to navigate, and logically structured. By focusing on these elements, you can ensure that visitors stay longer on your page and form a deeper connection with your brand.

Your About Us page is the perfect place to give visitors a glimpse into your company culture. This can help potential customers and employees understand what it’s like to work with or for your organization. A great example is from Cushion.   • Employee testimonials: Let your team members share their experiences working for your company in their own words.
  • Community involvement: Highlight any charitable work or community initiatives your company participates in. By showcasing your company culture, you’re not just telling visitors about your brand – you’re showing them what makes your organization unique and appealing.

Customer testimonials can be a powerful addition to your About Us page. They provide social proof and help build trust with potential customers. Here are some of my top tips for effectively incorporating testimonials:

  • Choose diverse testimonials: Select quotes from a variety of customers to show the broad appeal of your product or service.
  • Use real names and photos:  If possible, include the customer’s name, photo, and company (for B2B businesses) to add credibility.
  • Keep it concise: Short, punchy quotes are more likely to be read and remembered.
  • Highlight specific benefits: Choose testimonials that speak to specific benefits or features of your product or service.
  • Update regularly: Refresh your testimonials periodically to keep the content current and relevant.

Remember, the goal is to use customer testimonials (even through customer satisfaction surveys) to support your brand story and reinforce the value you provide to your customers.

Calls to Action on Your About Us Page

While the primary purpose of an About Us page is to inform and connect with visitors, it’s also an opportunity to guide them toward taking action.   • Join our team: If you’re hiring, include a CTA that directs visitors to your careers page.
  • Get in touch: Encourage visitors to contact you for more information or to start a conversation.
  • Follow us on social media: Link to your social media profiles to keep visitors engaged with your brand.
  • Sign up for our newsletter: Offer visitors a way to stay updated with your company’s news and developments.

Remember to make your CTAs clear, concise, and visually distinct from the rest of the page content. The key is to provide natural next steps for visitors who are interested in learning more or engaging with your brand.

Measuring the Success of Your About Us Page

Creating a great About Us page is only half the battle – you also need to measure its effectiveness. Here are some key metrics to consider:
